What is 16Mo3 Steel Plate ?
116Mo3 steel plate/sheet is specially used for boiler and pressure vessels in high-temperature structural manufacturing according to EN10028-2. With an enhanced mechanical property and creep resistance, 16Mo3 can withstand the tempering at a continuous operation below 500°C and hence suitable for a variety of high-temperature industrial applications. This weldable steel finds significant use in industrial boilers and pressurized vessels within the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Its high molybdenum content offers 16Mo3 optimum high-temperature resistance and fair creep strength. 16Mo3 is used for boilers and pressure vessels at high temperatures according to EN10028-2. It is equivalent to 15D3 under AFNOR 36206 and UNI5869 16Mo3. Supplies of the molybdenum alloy steel are usually made in a normalized condition. Heat and corrosion resistance make it suitable for use in manufacturing pressure vessels and boilers.
